HISTORIC CIRCUIT - 2nd STOP

THE TOWN’S FOUNDATION

This is the place were the first radio-telegraphic station of the area was built. It was inaugurated on May 15th of 1932; date in which the official foundation of our village was established.

The idea of settling this station surged from the sorry fact that a laborer died in the Quetrihue residence by an appendicitis attack, because he could not be assisted by the medics from Bariloche.

It was then that various pioneers, accounting for how stranded they were; decided to make the needed arrangements in front of the National Government for the settlement of a radio-telegraphic station to help to be better communicated.

Not having response from the government, it was made possible between Primo Capraro who built the edification; and Exequiel Bustillo and Lynch who got the equipment.
