HISTORIC CIRCUIT - 6th STOP

FIRST HOUSE

This was the first private house built in this part of the town. It belonged to Roberto Marimón who built it with the help of two chilean master carpenters. Even though the back side has been modified, the front still maintains it´s original appearance and is an example of the constructive style of the time. Edified on top of wooden stomps and with a structure completely made of wood too.  The external cover is made with a slab-cut style; and on it´s roof there’re little windows called skylights, built that small so light could enter while maintaining the heat inside.

On the left side, the little house today transformed into a tea house, was the first First Aid Room.
