HISTORIC CIRCUIT - 7th STOP

SCHOOL Nº 104

This building is part of the ones constructed by National Parks. It belonged to the fist Elementary School, School N°104. It functioned since 1928 in a little wooden construction and in 1938, National Parks made this building of stone and wood next to the Principal´s house. At the time, the school cycle was from September to May, and like in all frontier schools; housing was provided to the Principal, since it was very rare that teachers would accept settling in on so far and isolated lands.

National Parks took the care of giving the buildings a consistent aesthetic but each corresponding institution was consulted for the functional design.

In 1976, with the development of the neighborhood “El Cruce”, the school was transferred to its current building and the previous one is now a vacation colony for the Province.
